Dr. Kruger graduated in 1988 from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He then worked  as a family practitioner in rural Canada for 9 years.

Dr. Kruger returned to his native South Africa and  went in to a 5 year residency in dermatology  at the University of Cape Town. He obtained a fellowship in dermatology (F.C. derm S.A.- Fellow of College of Dermatologists of South Africa) in 2012. 

He returned to Victoria in 2012 to begin his practice. While his main clinic is in Victoria, he also has a clinic in Mill Bay  to help patients between Victoria and Nanaimo.

While his focus is on medical dermatology, his clinic offers narrowband UVB phototherapy, Metvix photodynamic therapy for the prevention and treatment of skin cancer,  cosmetic dermatology including IPL for rosacea and pigmented spots, fractional laser for skin rejuvenation and Botox for axillary hyperhidrosis.
